Edinburgh International Book Festival 2017

Greetings, Creatures! I attended the Edinburgh International Book Festival programme launch today and I’m thrilled to announce I’ll be at this year’s festival. I’m sharing the stage with South Korean writer Hwang Sok-yong whose book Familiar Things is out now. The event will be chaired by Stuart Kelly. You can buy your tickets from Tuesday 20th June.

As a debut novelist I’m eligible for the First Book Award, so if you enjoyed Goblin you can vote now.

More upcoming events:

Shoreline of Infinity/Aethor and Ichor fantasy themed event

Banshee Labyrinth, Edinburgh, Wednesday 14 June at 8pm – 10pm (doors 7.30pm).

I will be reading an extract from my short story Northern Lights. Fellow wordsmiths are: Eris Young, Daniel Pietersen and Louise Peterkin, with music from Aurora Engine.

Edinburgh Writers’ Showcase

Golden Hare Books, Edinburgh, Thursday 29 June 6.30pm – 8pm.

To celebrate Indy Bookshop Week I’m reading an extract from Goblin at the lovely Golden Hare Books and I’ll be joined by fellow writers Kaite Welsh, Martin MacInness, and Helen McClory. The event will be chaired by writer in residence Clare Askew and there will also be a short discussion/Q&A after the readings.
